Review 2025.05.008
Reviewers Note: It is the beginning of 2025 and one of the skills I desire to grow in is that of writing book reviews (having never done this before). I am doing this so I can better hone my writing (and reading) skills as I seek to think more critically about the books I am reading. I am sharing on Goodreads for my own personal development. I know this will be something I am always growing in so if you actually read these, please be patient with me as I develop this skill. I will also receive constructive criticism if you desire to help me become a better writer (and reader). I plan to use this disclaimer for the entire 2025 year.

This was a Star Wars story! Can that be the end of my review? I suppose I have to try to write something about the fiction books I read.
I enjoyed the story. Thanks to my daughter, I have watched “all” of the Star Wars shows including the Clone Wars. I always liked Asajj Ventress as Dooku’s assassin and this book developed her character a lot more.
This book happens after Dooku has rejected her. She joins forces with a Jedi and they plot to kill Dooku together. The story never seemed slow. There was a point where I would have preferred the author to expand out a bit (when Ventress is training the Jedi in the dark side) but I know that books have limitations.
If you like Star Wars books, then I would recommend it. If you are not a big Star Wars fan then you can take it or leave it.
