Review 2025.05.001
Reviewers Note: It is the beginning of 2025 and one of the skills I desire to grow in is that of writing book reviews (having never done this before). I am doing this so I can better hone my writing (and reading) skills as I seek to think more critically about the books I am reading. I am sharing on Goodreads for my own personal development. I know this will be something I am always growing in so if you actually read these, please be patient with me as I develop this skill. I will also receive constructive criticism if you desire to help me become a better writer (and reader). I plan to use this disclaimer for the entire 2025 year.
The Wolf Is at the Door by Ben Angel

This was not a bad book but I wouldn’t really consider it a book about AI. Once I realized it was about my mindset towards AI (or any big life changes) then the book took on a new direction for me. I probably would not have purchased this book if I had known this but it turned out to be a good reminder to face challenges head on and not let fear take over my life.
I enjoyed the writing style and the personal stories. I related to being behind on AI (still relate) but thankfully I know to just take small steps each day and week to grow in knowledge and usage. The author reiterated this very thing which was an encouragement.
The ending was a bit odd for me but at least it wrapped everything up. Read a different review to find out if you should buy this book.
