When what is perfect…
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside. –1 Corinthians 13:9-10
What is the Apostle Paul referring to when he says “what is perfect”? Many say that he is talking about scripture but this seems like a huge jump to me. “Hey guys when I finish writing the New Testament, guess what, the partial will be set aside.” I mean that is basically a ridiculous statement. I do not see the Apostle Paul making this leap – it seems so highly unlikely as to be practically impossible.
Or it could be just lack of sleep causing my mind not to function at a level proper to understanding basic Scripture. Still…
