As I left lunch with the single mom who is pregnant with her fourth child, I said “we have a lot to pray about” and she said “you do”. She can’t pray to God right now because she is too busy, too messed up, and not really close it God at all. She seems to feign a relationship with God. At least that is my impression.
Another person emailed me about a “whopper” of a sin they are dealing with. She felt distant from God because of this sin. She on the other hand leaned into God in prayer and probably other disciplines of a God fearing person.
Both young women will deal with their respective issues in time and leaning on God doesn’t necessarily make the time shorter, it does however make it better (I do not mean easier).
We have a lot to pray about.
