Hebrews 12:4 – You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed in your struggle against sin.
Can we just skip that verse in the Bible? I mean there are so many verses, surely we can skip just this one. OK, I guess you are right, we cannot begin to pick and choose the verses we like. Well then how can we twist it? Twisting it will work just as well. What else could this mean? Please help me find a meaning that allows me to surrender to my sin and live in my flesh while still striving to have the holy life God demands. Surely you are smart enough to find a loophole in God’s Word. I plead desperately for your help because I grow weary and find no strength in myself to fight on. The battle we fight against sin is violent and relentless.
Galatians 6:9 – So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.
