I have one older cousin. She is older by just two months and one day.
There are always many reasons why we stop seeing people. Distance. Apathy. Broken relationships between others.
By that last statement, I mean her relationship with my sister is broken which creates a barrier. Her relationship with my cousin, Bryant, who I work with daily, is also broken – another barrier. It is difficult to overcome some barriers.
Today, we will both be taking a step as the kids and I drive to visit with her and her family. It has been an unknown number of years since we have seen each other, although we have messaged each other on Facebook from time to time. I am anxiously excited to be reintroduced to my cousin.
I should recall some stories from growing up. There should be good opportunity today for some memory triggers that do just that.
