The King of Glory

This morning was Psalm 24.  It ends like this:

Who is the King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory.

It just struck me.  Who is the King of glory?

Yesterday and today have been different.  I have been trying to solve problems I do not have the questions for.  This week I have “slept” with very little rest.  I woke up one day this week and was exhausted.  My mind worked all night.  I say “one day” but really it was most days.

Another interesting verse from Psalm 22.

Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.

I like the picture this creates.  God enthroned on praises.  He alone is worthy of our praise.

I tried to rest my mind yesterday and today.  I’m not sure I had much success.  I do not really know how to turn it off.  In one of my white boards, I asked if I could overload.  But I’m not sure how to do that either.

Hmm, since it is a random mess.  I have a new prayer I have enjoyed for a few days – “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be your words, O Lord, so that they will be acceptable in your sight.”  It is mostly Psalm 19:14.

The new week begins tomorrow.  Many hours till that comes around.  I suppose I can waste the rest of the day.
