I was reading a book on early church history last night. The author was talking about the disciples, after Jesus ascended, and how they placed themselves in an “attitude of earnest and prayerful expectancy”. Is our prayer life filled with this expectancy? Expectancy of others being reconciled to Christ. Expectancy of spiritual renewal in our own lives. Expectancy of healing.
