The story of the Bible is….what? Many people will tell you it is a love story about God’s love for us. Unfortunately I cannot accept that because the object here becomes the creature. Do I mean to imply that God does not love us? No, but God made us, loves us, sent His son to die for us so that we would glorify Him, so that we would make Him the object of our boasting. And that through us others would make Him the object of their boasting too.
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among people with whom he is pleased!” –Luke 2:14
Doesn’t that sound like the most amazing job ever? We get to glorify the God who created the heavens and earth every day we wake up and in everything we do.
