Resolved!

Resolved, to live with all my might, while I do live.  I really like that resolution from Jonathan Edwards.  And with the beginning of the year almost upon us, I am sure that many people are resolving to do something with their lives in 2015.  If you read his resolutions, they make most of our resolutions seem inconsequential.  I have never been big on resolutions for the new year because waiting on a specific instance of time to change your life for the better seems like a waste.  Shouldn’t we resolve at any point in time to be a better us?  What steps am I going to take today, next month and the month after that?  Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Of course I have trouble understanding many of the simple things that others enjoy.  Holidays have been a mystery to me for as long as I can remember.  January 1st is just another day.  Does this day really signify anything of importance?  Yes, I know feeling this way about holidays makes me a horrible monster so I won’t talk about Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, July 4th or any other day.  And I will accept the label you want to put on me.
