There are so many things we can only learn through experience and pain. You can tell me things and attempt to impart your knowledge and experience to me but I am probably too foolish to pay attention, to listen. Until pain comes we may all be too foolish. Pain insists upon being attended to.

We must address this pain. I read recently that “a person of higher nature goes through it and out the other side in order to remove the threat permanently”. I love that idea. One day I may even be able to be that person by the grace of God.
