You know it is always fun asking people “What do you think Jesus meant when he said…” and then quoting Jesus. I had someone in my office last week and I asked her one of these questions. Her teenage daughter happen to be in the room and answered the question perfectly. I was impressed because adults tend to try to find a way out – well back in the day the phrase “sell everything” meant “build bigger barns”. Children are less likely to have that desire to justify the things in their lives.
Luke 9:62 – Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
This verse has been on my mind for a few days. I know I posted this verse a few days back when I talked about people never being ready to accept their responsibility as a Christian but there is something else about this verse that I have not been able to quite put my finger on.
