“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.” –C.H. Spurgeon
There is a lot in that quote. I rely a lot on God to direct my words. More than I actually realize. I want to talk about so many things. The reliance on the Holy Spirit to work in people’s hearts to save them. The reliance on the Holy Spirit to allow me to tell people to look to Jesus every chance I get. To be the dead body they leap over or the person whose arms are wrapped around someone’s knees being dragged as I plead with them to look to Jesus. The reliance on the Holy Spirit to pray for every lost person in my life. Praying He opens their eyes. I am desperate in my prayers not only for the lost but also for the saints. Even my own reliance on the Holy Spirit to remind me of my need to merely look to Jesus to cure my corrupt and broken heart.
Look to Me, and be saved,
All you ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:22 (NKJV)
