Lest They Should Turn

Yesterday was a bit emotional as I read some scripture.

“they may indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they should turn and be forgiven.”

Mark 4:12

This was Jesus after He told the parable of the sower.  I cried after I read that.  Even today it chokes me up.

Today my prayer psalm was Psalm 86.  When I got to verse six, I knew that was my verse for today.  “Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.”  Tonight that verse meant even more as I reflected and pleaded with God for grace for me and countless others.

My daughter woke up from her nap and interrupted.  Then she hugged me and I cried more.  Think of the words of Jesus from the book of Mark there.  From so many places in the book of John.  And here I am redeemed by the grace of God.

We had a bowl of ice cream together and talked.

All of us went to see Batman v Superman.  We all ranked it between a 7 and 7.5 on a scale of 10.  We think that DC has a great opportunity to develop the world like Marvel has done.  They showed the trailer for the new movie from the Harry Potter world.  The twins from Harry Potter will be at ComicCon in Dallas.  Our next two movies are in May.  I better start saving.  Captain America – Civil War and X-Men Apocalypse.  Then I think we are clear until November and December.
