I don’t think Matthew said that. : ) And we hunger for contentment.

      Don’t think Matthew said what?

Jesus said in Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

I am guessing that means I need to break it down a bit further for you – you might have only skimmed the few words in the post instead of reading them. 🙂

1 – What do we hunger and thirst for?
2 – A list of typically things we hunger and thirst for.
3 – Matthew 5:6 – what we should actually hunger and thirst for.

oh good, because I thought you were saying Matthew said we hunger and thirst for all of those things, and I couldn’t find it in the Bible. : )
The way that blog was written, it posed a question, then answered it. The labeled the answer as Matthew. I mean, that’s the way I read it.

          *sigh*

It never said Matthew said anything. It referenced scripture. Yes, it did pose a question, then answer it. But it then pointed you to something more.

Did I actually type ‘we hunger for contentment’? because I don’t remember doing that. I say you edited it.
