Because Of The Glory

The whole passage of 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 is quite amazing.  Sunday morning as I read that chapter, I was struck by the idea of how much more glorious the ministry of the Spirit which produces life is compared to the ministry of the law that produces death.  Do you know someone who reflects that kind of glory?  Are you striving to reflect that type of glory?  When we get trapped by morality (the law) we see death all around us, in both our lives and our churches.  We can indeed teach good behavior but only grace can bring about true change in our hearts.  What are we teaching our children?  What are we teaching the world?  Are we teaching morality in an attempt to save people?  Or are we showing them a better way, the only way?  Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:7-8 – But if the ministry that produced death—carved in letters on stone tablets—came with glory, so that the Israelites could not keep their eyes fixed on the face of Moses because of the glory of his face (a glory which was made ineffective), how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be?
Moses had to put a veil on his face to keep the Israelites from staring at the results of the glory that was made ineffective.  How much more should we shine the glory of Jesus?
