How would you feel if the doctors were going to take your leg? I was asked that question last week by a Christian brother who is going to be losing part of his leg. Hopeless was my immediate response. He said he didn’t feel hopeless. After thinking about it, hopeless was a poor word selection. Devastated might be a better word. This man leads his family, maybe better than any man I know. They are very active in their service to people because they love Jesus, he loves Jesus. I have been praying for him and his family for a few weeks since finding out about the accident so hearing that news from him was a bit heartbreaking. There are no platitudes for our pain and suffering so we just weep with those that weep and rejoice with those who rejoice but above all we pray…
